Swaying palm tree pose (Tiryaka tadasana)

Steps

  1. Stand with the feet more than shoulder width apart.
  2. Streamline the waist and develops balance. 
  3. Stand with feet 8 inch apart and fix eyes on a point directly in front of you. 
  4. Interlock fingers and turn palms outward. Inhale deeply as you raise arms over your head. 
  5. As you breathe out, bend from your waist to your left side, taking care not to reach forwards or backwards. 
  6. Hold for a few seconds, then inhale deeply and slowly return to the upright position.
  7. Repeat 5 times to each side.
  8. To end the practice, return to the centred position, release the hands and bring the arms down beside the body.
